Plasmas typically come in larger sizes than LCDs at a cheaper price and have better viewing angles. For home theatre-like usage, plasma screens have a slight edge; they can display blacks more accurately than LCDs. LCDs tend to consume less power than plasma, are lighter, and have a longer life span. They have higher native resolutions; more pixels on the screen. If money's not an issue and you want the sharpest image in town, then a large LCD is the ticket. If you want more bang for your buck, bigger screen, etc, plasma is the way to go.
