Whats going on with the tournament featuring Lil Flip?
It starts in November. It’s a 64 person tournament and it’s run in elimination style. The 64 MC’s will battle each other until there is a winner. The winner will drop a freestyle verse and it will be compared to Lil Flip’s verse. If the person has a better verse than Flip, they get $2000. This is courtesy of 845 Entertainment and is also a promotion for the new Flip DVD scheduled for January, 2007 titled What it Do. Who’s judging the tournament? We have a membership for $5 a month. Anybody that pays for the membership is allowed to vote and is able to qualify for the tournament. The staff as well as 845 Entertainment will vote on the final freestyle verse. Have you been able to find a lot of talent? There are some good and talented MC’s and there are some kids who like rap music but they’re not serious-minded MC’s.
