Whats it like attending Booker T. Washington?
It’s nothing like I’ve ever experienced. Here everyone is strange, in a good way, of course. Everyone is accepted for their own talents. For the weird artist type, it’s perfect. Do you consider yourself the weird artist type? (Laughs) I can say that I’m quirky, but everyone else is, too. I fit in well there. I would be lost at another high school. What interests you about the discipline you are studying? I’ve been interested in medical illustration and mental illness. I’m taking a psychology class, and I’m looking for ways to integrate the two. Why do you play soccer for Woodrow? I’ve been playing since I was 4. It’s the only place where I don’t have to think. It’s all about your gut feeling. You just go. Do you still play saxophone? I still mess around with it. It’s like playing soccer. It’s just a good release. Who are your favorite music artists?
