Whats it like to live in colorado springs, co?

Colorado Springs is right on the edge of the mountains so it’s a very beautiful place to live. It’s kind of like living in a small town except it’s got 380,000 people. It’s got a small-town “vibe” but its rapid growth is also showing some big city problems like traffic congestion and increased crime. If you love outdoor activities, Colorado Springs is an excellent place to live. There are endless miles of hiking trails, mountain biking trails and city cycling routes, and world-class skiing options are only 2 hours away. The city also has several gorgeous parks. The downtown is smallish, but has a lot of character and several Denver residents I know comment on how they enjoy the local flavor of the restaurants in the Springs that they don’t often see up in the big city. Economically, it generally seems like Colorado Springs has higher end homes up north in the Briargate area, middle class homes in the downtown and west side areas, and lower income homes in the south and southeast areas.
