Whats so special about Zakk Wylde?
Well Wylde does in fact have his own distinct style that doesn’t really sound like anyone else… He was really really good at pulling off Rhoads leads to the point that it sounded similar to Randy Rhoads which was always very important to Ozzy when Wylde started off his career with him. He comes up with some pretty decent sounding mainstream rock riffs that went well with the Ozzy sound…. Wylde does in fact use ALOT of Artificial Harmonics but then again so do ALOT of metal guitarists…. I use them ALOT myself in my own music but I use them in a different way than Wylde does. I like to make them alot more Tricky and hard to do than Wylde does….. He is a good player however I dont see NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL about Black Label Society. I think they sound as generic as the 20 cans of Generic Baked Beans that are in my Pantry for the last 15 years… I personally find Jake E. Lee and Brad Gillis way better players IMO. The thing that makes Wylde special is he had a LONG CAREER with Oz
