Whats the best chemical to be used to overcome the clogged kitchen sink?
I don’t remember the name of it, but if you go to home depot and ask about the stuff that comes in a black container for clogged sinks they will now exactly what you are talking about. It is not that expensive and it will not hurt your pipes. It works better then Drano, and all of the other brands. I have used it in the shower, the sink in my bathroom, the kitchen sink and even the drain for the washing machine. If I find the bottle I will let you know the name of it. I have even seen real plumbers buying this stuff.
The best solution is called “Plumber’s Secret”. Sold in plumbing, hardware, or cleaning sections. It’s not a chemical, but a kit that allows you to blow pressurized air down through the pipe, pushing the clog out of it. Be sure to follow the directions. When you do this, you must use a rag or something to block any other drains in the area, or crap can come spraying out of them! This can be particularly dangerous if you’ve already poured a bunch of chemicals down the drain. Plumber’s Secret works, and actually fixes the problem, instead of just making the sink “OK” for a while. I’ve thrown away all the chemicals and the plumber’s snake.
