I don’t blame him! Go to the pet store and buy a super premium kibble, not a grocery brand. You get what you pay for, grocery brands are made from cheap and nasty ingredients, then have lots of additives added, lots of advertising and pretty pictures to make humans buy it. Look for a named meat on the list first (not just meat or animal) and any cereals should also be named, like oats, brown rice etc. Eukanuba (NOT Iams, it is a grocery brand) Burns, Royal Canin, but look on the ingredients list-what you spend on good quality food you will save money on vets bills, training and have a longer life for your dog. One of the worse food for dogs at the moment is Bakers-full of rubbish, colouring and cereals, but has mega advertising and pretty pictures and produces hyper dogs with lots of health problems as they get older.

I am assuming you are in GB, since Tesco is a British chain. I don’t know what high end foods are marketed in your country, but can advise that you will need a high quality food that uses a good meat source as its first ingredient and doesn’t use corn, wheat or rice glutens as a major carbohydrate base. Protein levels need to be higher for puppies, but not too high as to promote overly rapid growth that can result in joint problems.
