Whats the BEST kitten food and litter on the market?

I would recommend any high quality cat food.

A truly top-quality cat food should:

  • Use named meat protein sources
  • Contain no by-products
  • Contain no fillers such as corn, wheat or soy
  • Contains no artificial ingredients or preservatives

Orejin, EVO, Wellness, Nature’s Variety Instinct, and Blue Buffalo are all excellent foods.

I own a pet sitting business and have scooped a lot of litter – THE best out there right now is:  Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal.  I recommend it to everyone!

I used Science Diet Canned Kitten formula for both my cats and they both did extremely well with it (they are now both on Science Diet canned adult formula and still doing great). Although it may not be the most perfect kitten food out there, it’s one that our vet recommended. Plus I can get it easily at the pet store. As for a litter, do not use ANY clumping litter for a kitten. Small kittens can lick themselves, swallow the clumping litter, and suffer dangerous blockages in their digestive track. Once the kitten is 3 months old, they can safely use clumping litter. We used just a plain clay litter that we got from Wal Mart for like 3 bucks for 25 pounds. It didn’t cause any trouble for us or them and once they were old enough, we switched over to Feline Pine Scoop, which we are still using and having great success with. Email me if I can help with anything else 🙂 Best of Luck to you and your kitties!
