What's the best way to clean venetian blinds?

The best way to clean your blinds is to bring them outside and lay them on a large clean towel or blanket. Open the actual blind all of the way and keep the individual blinds closed. Have a bucket nearby full of soap and water. Usually windex or pine sol works the best. Then clean the blinds by scrubbing them with a soft bristle brush. After the front is finished, reverse the blinds so that the back side is now on the front. Scrub the blinds completely. Then get your hose and rinse the soap off of the blinds. Hang the blinds over something to rinse and then to dry off. If you do not want to take a chance and see spots, then you can hand dry each individual blind.  more
