What's the Difference Between a Botanical Garden and a Nursery?

Botanical gardens and nurseries both raise and care for plants, though with different purposes in mind. Briefly put, a botanical garden is usually a nonprofit institution, which has a constantly growing and evolving collection of plants on extensive grounds maintained for people to walk through.
