Whats the difference between a Presbyterian church and a “non-denominational” church?

An important question. First of all, recognize that some churches that are thought to be non-denominational are, in fact, part of a larger denomination. That’s not a bad thing. We believe that it is both valuable and biblical for people, congregations and leaders to be accountable to others. As a result, we are a connectional church. While we are formally a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), our chief allegiance is to the Lord Jesus Christ. Our members have various religious backgrounds before coming to Mars Hill.
