Whats the difference between a supportive and firm mattress?

0

A supportive mattress is one that is able to give support in the small of the neck, the lumbar area in the small of the back and behind the knees. A firm mattress such as an inner spring mattress is not able to conform to the unique curvature of the body. Instead, your body conforms to the mattress. A firm, hard sleep surface is actually non-supportive. The body has curves that form bridges just like the arch in your feet. What would happen if there was no arch support in your shoes? We all know the answer and it doesn’t take a medical study to prove the results!
