Whats the difference between Acrylic and Oil paints?

Acrylics are water-based so they dry within minutes after dispensing from the tube, less messy and an easy clean up. Takes time to master blending color and applying before it dries. Those colors are strong and powerful. Oils require chemicals, can be messy (ruin good clothes) but are excellent to blend and mix, paint modern or mid century style. I choose both.
