Whats the difference between aeronautical engineering and aerospace engineering?
Practically no difference, at least in Indian Universities. Most universities / colleges have an Aerospace Engineering department. Both aeronautical engineering and aero – space courses are taught. aerospace goes beyond normal aircraft operations. The principles of operations however are mostly similar. Rocket propulsion is used in both aeronautical as well as aero space engineering. Navigation and control would be different in these two. However, you need to know the basic aerodynamics and basic aero structures for both the subjects.
