Whats the difference between an ethernet port and modem port?

0

There is no way you can plug the ethernet cable into modem port. They are different sizes. In addition, a modem transmits information at a speed of 56.6kbps (if you have a 56k modem). Ethernet transmits data at 100Mbps. Modem uses a telephone line to connect to internet and you will not be abble to use phone while you will work online. Hope this help.
