Belt-drive Belt-drive models are very quiet, reliable and ideal for applications when living space is above the garage. Chain-drive Chain-drive models are less expensive but can be noisy for certain applications. Screw-drive Screw-drives are a good option but do require more maintenance. Jackshaft Jackshaft models are mounted to the side of a garage door where overhead clearence or I-beams are an issue.  more
