Whats the difference between breeder quality and pet quality?
A. A breeder quality kitten must meet strict physical breed standards set forth by the various cat associations (such as TICA – The International Cat Association). These kittens may be used in breeding programs to maintain or improve the breed. Kittens are assessed for type and color at 6 weeks of age, and are priced at that time. Kittens sold as pets (regardless of quality) are sold without breeding rights and must be spayed or neutered.
