whats the difference between clotted cream, sour cream, creme freche, double cream & single cream?
Clotted cream – strawberries, scones Sour Cream – good for making scones and bread Creme Freche and Double Cream – Sauces, Cold Desserts, Ice Creams etc Single Cream – Pouring over fruit, Gateaux, Coffee edit -clotted cream is made by heat treating unpasteurised milk then being allowed to cool, the milk fats rise to the top, this is ‘clotted’ cream
