Whats the difference between competent and autonomous?
I would point out the concept of “confidence without competence” being a dangerous thing. Those who are autonomous often may not ask when they need help, and may not readily admit it when they make mistakes. They are self sufficient, independent, and confident. Autonomy is a good quality in a competent individual, but is a real danger when combined with incompetence. Competence denotes skill and expertise.
