Whats the difference between full synthetic oil and a synthetic oil blend?
Synthetic blend (non-petroleum base) has a mixture of premium synthetic oil and conventional (petroleum) base oils. Synthetic oil is an oil manufactured for enhanced lubrication performance using The Fischer-Tropsch process which converts carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and methane into liquid hydrocarbons of various forms. Conventional base oil is/are Petroleum (from Latin petra rock and oleum oil), crude oil, sometimes colloquially called black gold, is a thick, dark brown or greenish flammable liquid, which exists in the upper strata of some areas of the Earth’s crust.
