Whats the difference between logging and land-clearing….why does it matter?
Deforestation is destruction, mulching is different. Modern mulcher technology is widely used to clear a wide variety of areas from trees and shrubs. The term “Land clearing” refers to many different types of work. Mulchers are used in forestry for chopping up felling residues and maintaining forest plots, as well as for maintaining infrastructure and clearing areas.
Sustainable forest management depends upon the skillful harvest and utilization of timber by loggers. Logging is needed to harvest the trees so they can be converted into the many products we use. Once the mature trees are harvested, a new stand of tree seedlings will be regenerated on the tract to renew the forest.
