Whats the difference between navel and valencia oranges?
Navel oranges are easy to spot in your produce aisle-they’re the ones with the button formation opposite the stem end. A juicy fleshed orange having a thicker skin, which is generally easy to peel, with flesh that is juicy and sweet. The Naval orange makes a good fruit for juice or for snacking and fruit salads. Valencia oranges are small to medium sized, and they may have a few seeds. They are usually thin-skinned. The Valencia orange contains a great amount of juice and because of its thin skin it is easy to squeeze. It is in season for most of the year.
