Whats the difference between Self-Paced Courses and Advanced Parenting Workshops?
Self-Paced Courses include the 30-40 minute media presentation, review questionnaire, printable certificate, and printable course summary. Many courses also include printable handouts. You can watch these courses any time you want. They can be completed in one setting, or you can stop and come back to continue watching later on. Advanced Parenting Workshops are only offered during specific time frames. They begin with a media presentation just like a Self-Paced Course, but continue with a variety of assignments and activities using the discussion board. Assignments found on the discussion board need to be completed during the class timeline. Generally a good deal of work needs to be completed during these courses. Many of the assignments include written online discussions with other class members. Advanced Parenting Workshops may be offered and monitored by FPC staff or your agency’s staff.
