Whats the difference between TAP, PELL, and College Work Study?
TAP (tuition assistance program) is a grant program for eligible New York State residents with at least 12 credits per semester. The amount of the award is based on the family’s New York taxable income. Pell is a Federal grant program. Monies obtained through Pell do not need to be repaid. To be eligible for Pell, you need to take three or more credits, be an undergraduate without a bachelor’s or professional degree and meet income requirements.
