Taxotere is an alternative to Taxol. It was developed because so many women were having reactions to Taxol. Taxotere has the same active agent, but it is suspended in a synthetic base. People can still have reactions to Taxotere, but they are generally less severe. There is another form called Abraxane, same basic active agent, different formulation for the base.  more
