Whats the difference between the Annual Fund and The Campaign for Cooper Union? Is Cooper Union asking for two gifts?
Pledges and gifts to The Campaign for Cooper Union will be directed to the new academic building, the creation of new academic programs and to increasing our endowment to support faculty and our full-tuition scholarships well in to the future. During the Campaign, our supporters are asked to consider a more significant investment in The Cooper Union by making a substantial gift – in addition to their Annual Fund gift – that is usually pledged over time. As our extraordinary capital campaign plans progress, it’s important to remember that your continued gifts to the Annual Fund are critical to meeting the day-to-day needs of the College, such as faculty salaries, student services and maintenance of our facilities, the library, laboratories and computer studios. Additionally, the proportion of alumni who make a gift to the Annual Fund each year directly affects The Cooper Union’s national ranking and the support it receives from corporations and foundations.
