The Japanese treatment is a permanent chemical straightener that lasts twice as long if not longer and can damage your hair if not cared for properly after receiving the treatment. The BKT is a Semi Permanent treatment that is highly conditioning to the hair and is not chemical based, it's keratin based. It does come out and reverts back after 4 months. more

Big difference between keratin treatments and Jap. Straightener !! All keratin treatments are keratin based the building blocks in all hair the only chemical in some of these keratin treatments would be formaldehyde, Jap. Straightener a hair relaxer has many different chemicals that go into the hair and rearrange the bonds of the hair to straighten your hair.. I'm not completely informed all the exact products & chemical used in the straightener most likely sodium hydroxide with others !! Plus the Jap. Straightener like other hair relaxers are permanent and will need the new growth relaxed in a few months. All keratin treatments slide off the hair over time with each shampoo plus many people and stylist think that keratin treatments straighten hair, keratin treatments are smoothing systems not relaxers so it help you to straighten your hair when you style your hair saves some time in  the styling time plus give you extra shine and smooth the cuticle so the hair looks and feels alive and healthy !!
