What’s the difference between the Professional Program in Screenwriting and other screenwriting programs?
The Professional Program in Screenwriting is based at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and is modeled after the world-renowned MFA Screenwriting Program. The Professional Program is graduate-level, features an admissions process based on supporting application materials, shares curriculum and faculty with the graduate film/tv programs, and the screenwriting workshops are limited to eight students to allow for more time to be devoted to each student. Both the campus and online screenwriting workshops are taught by professional screenwriters. And the online screenwriting workshops meet LIVE for round-table discussion and analysis of each student’s work.
