whats the difference between world premiere and a pre-screening

Great question!  A world premier is a public showing of a new film or album.  A pre-screening is a showing of the film to a select group of people: such as celebrities, film critics, and those who work for the media.

A world premier is the first time the film has been screened anywhere in the world where tickets are purchased. This could be either at a film festival or theatre. There are usually no changes to the film once it has been released. A pre-screening is any showing prior to this release. It can be either to receive feedback, for selection purposes or for media to review.
