Whats the evidence for acupuncture for severe nausea and vomiting?
We found just one study that looked at acupuncture in women with very severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy (called hyperemesis gravidarum).[1] The study looked at 33 women who were being treated in hospital for very severe nausea and vomiting. • Twelve of 16 women who had acupuncture stopped being sick after three days • But only 7 of 17 women who had pretend acupuncture stopped being sick after three days.
