Use an oil spray, such as Pam. It works best if you get the pan hot (medium hot), then spray the pan, allow it to heat up again, then add the eggs. If you have trouble turning the eggs over without breaking the yolk, after you add the eggs to the pan, add 2 tablespoons of water, cover the pan and cook the eggs for about 1 minute 10 seconds. Perfect sunny side up — the white is completely cooked and the yolk is still soft.

Basically anything fried isnt good for you but if you really want a fried egg then it all depends on the kind of oil you use and the quality so id go for Extra Virgin Olive Oil, it will give your eggs a slight green tinge but is quite delicious or you could try rape seed oil which has a slight nutty flavour but is also healthy! When i have an egg i always go for poached cos its cooked in water so its far healthier plus you can taste the whole flavour of the egg without it being tinged by the oil.

you have a few options separate the egg and just use the white that way there is less fat or use a non stick pan so you don’t have to use any butter or oil poached eggs are also a good alternitive, you cover the bottom of a frying pan with water bring it up to just a simmer, not boiling. gently crack your egg into the water and take a spoon and splash the hot water over the top of the egg. I hope this helps!

Honestly, there really isn’t a healthy way – the only way to do fried egg is to fry it. However, maybe you could use olive oil rather than ‘normal’ oil, and blot off most of the oil on a bit of kitchen roll. However, you could balance things out a bit, if it is to be part of a cooked breakfast. Grill whatever can be grilled – bacon, sausages, tomatoes. At least that minimises the frying fat. The other option is to poach the egg. Not quite the same as fried, I know, but it can be just as nice and is a pretty good substitute, especially if it is runny!
