Proud to be a Honky and Cracker! My grandmother said that Cracker came from the sound of whips, hearing her uncles joking and whatnot, but her great grandmother said they didn’t whip their niggers and was appalled at the thought that those attrocities were believed. Pure propaganda. They owned 3000 plus acres in south west Arkansas and had “niggra” workers, as she called them. They were really like family and very loyal to my family. Very well taken care of, paid in gold, and were allowed to go into town to buy provisions for the “farm” and themselves. Not connected to each other by chains.
