Whats the history of The Buffalo News?
The Buffalo News was founded in 1880 by Edward H. Butler as a Sunday-only newspaper. Seven years later it became one of a handful of daily newspapers serving the Buffalo area, growing into the region’s dominant news source. Warren E. Buffett purchased The News in 1977, resuming publication of the Sunday edition that had been dropped in 1914. The paper begin printing both morning and evening editions in 1982.
