Whats the most important issue you think should be addressed?
The most important issue facing us is our declining and aging numbers. This isnt a new trend. Its been steady since the mid-90s, and it mirrors the decline that began in the early 90s in the student population. As our numbers decline, we see our influence, our ability to provide quality member service, and the force and effect of our efforts become more challenged. We have to develop ways to attract more students into our schools and more of our colleagues into our Association. As Secretary-Treasurer, I have a unique role of minding the company store, as it were. To that end, Ive worked hard to stay in tune with the flow of NCRAs Finance Department, to keep the Board and membership informed of our status, and to promote a culture of thrift and effectiveness within the Association.
