Whats the most memorable Christmas party youve been to and why?
When I worked up in Innisfail North Qld years ago our staff social club organised a weekend long party which started at the Villa Monaco at Kurrimine Beach (about 40 mins south of Innisfail) where we had our Xmas dinner on the Sat night and where we stayed for the weekend. We were taken there by bus and the owners of the motel took us over to Dunk Island in their boat for Saturday’s entertainment. We took over the whole resort, including the pool & the bar and had an awesome time. By the time we got back to Kurrimine late Sat arvo we were all too pissed & tired to bother with the dinner, but somehow we continued celebrating. The next day was spent lounging lazily around the motel pool in 38 degree Adelaide type heat, unusual for the area at any of the year!! It was the best Christmas party ever, still remember it really well!! When people ask what’s the best place you’ve ever had a works Christmas party, I say Dunk Island and they look at me awestruck!!
