Whats the mountain bike scene like in Gainesville?
AD: I’m proud to be part of the riding scene here. I’ve ridden in legendary places and the crappiest of crappy places and enjoyed myself, to some extent in all of them. All these places had there scenes. Gainesville is a little different though. Not because of the terrain or the flora and fauna. Its different because of the people. Gainesville is an easy place to live. Good people recognize that. It seems to trap them. Their hearts, I mean. Almost all of them have moved away to big cites or other countries, but something draws them back. They’re all strong people. Successful too. In that they have made up there minds about what they want and are actively pursuing their goals. That decisiveness plays a big part in the scene here. It’s what keeps the men and women riding year after year through thick and thin. It binds us. I’d like to think it’s a steady, unwavering symbol of their most core beliefs. Whether that is true or not doesn’t matter much. The fact remains that every scene is on
