Whats the problem with screen shots and image galleries?

Good question. I think an extremely strong fair use argument could be used in support of screen shots. It is a very small amount of the original work, and it is a still image, whereas the value of Television is that it is moving images. But this area has not been resolved. Fox seems to recognize the fuzziness of this area, and has not required webmasters to remove screenshots. We also believe that they are creating an image gallery that webmasters may use. Image galleries are a bit more problematic. It depends on the images really. If you are showcasing entire plots, etc, or giving away key information you might be outside of fair use. Use your best judgement, and think carefully about the amount of content being used.
