What’s the purpose of the safety net?
A safety net or baffle is provided for the interior back of the cage to buffer the impact of the ball. The safety net or baffle is the area of the cage that takes the most wear and tear, which is why we make ours with a heavier netting sewn on the diagonal to decelerate the ball and for added ‘catch’. When properly installed, baffles are designed to provide added safety in enclosed spaces, or for someone standing behind the cage when outdoors.
