Whats the story with buffer overflows on Netware?
Buffer overflows do exist on Netware. Most buffer overflow exploits try to get the CPU to execute arbitrary code to gain higher levels of access to a system. Even though Novell says Netware NLMs run in protected memory and that problems with NLMs should not bother other NLMs, basically all Netware buffer overflows simply abend the server. This is the basis for many Denial of Service attacks against Netware.
