Whats the summer weather like in San Francisco?

0

June to August isn’t “summer” in San Francisco itself. Expect Spring like conditions. Morning fog and afternoon wind keeps temperatures along the coast fairly constant. Highs in the 60s. There’s no rain like Portland or Seattle though. San Francisco’s Indian summer doesn’t come until September. It usually lasts until mid-to-late October. These are the most pleasant months, with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s, as well as clear skies. Having said that, if you plan to travel in the inland suburbs during June to August…you’ll also need regular summer clothes. Temperatures change dramatically once you leave the coast, and the rest of California has a more standard Meditterenean weather (hot, hot, hot). It can be 60 degrees in San Francisco and 90 degrees in suburbs like Concord and Walnut Creek (only 30 minutes away).
