Whats tofu and veggie burgers taste like?
If you make it right, tofu CAN taste like meat. Veggie burgers can have anything – legumes, seeds, nuts. Personally, I like tofu, but not tofu burgers, and veggie burgers are DELICIOUS! (in my opinion…) Try out a couple of different types – chances are the ones that mimic the appearance and texture of meat will be similar.
All the brands taste different, and are made of different things. Some veggie burgers are just veggies, most of them taste really nice. Some are made of lentils/beans, not so good to me. Quorn tastes really nice to me, but i hate tofu. Soy milk doesn’t taste like cows milk, but as a veggie milk should be fine. Just buy a cpl of things a week until you find out what you like!
I was a veggie head, and use to eat tofu burgers all the time. I guess the best way to describe how they taste is like taking a thick piece of cardboard and drowning it in Elmer’s glue (you know the white stuff you use to eat as a kid). This was all before I realized that by eating meat i was actually making the animals lives happier. just think they live to the prime of their life then before their bodies start to take a dump on them, they are slaughtered and put out of there misery. I only wish I could have it so good. P.S. there is poop in all canned products, especially peanut butter!
Tofo is a substitute of meat but it does not taste like meat at all. It taste just as it is, a tofu. Veggie burger is just like any burger but the patties are made of vegetables, tofu, etc. instead of meat. Soy milk doesn’t taste like cow milk or any kind of milk aside from soy milk. It really depends on a person’s taste if he or she would like it but there are flavored soy mliks that you can try. If you really want to become a vegetarian, try eating and/or drinking substitutes little by little until you get yourself used to it. You may not like the tastes and/or feeling at first but you’ll eventually find yourself liking it. Good luck!
