Whats typically cheaper in wedding bouquet – day lilies or roses?
Lilies cost more because they’re grown from a bulb and produce only one stem per bulb. Roses are grown on a bush and just continually reproduce. I’ve grown tons of lilies. I love them. You’re not going to want day lilies. Day lilies are on a thin stem with a large base of leaves at the bottom & they bloom & die within the same day, hence being called a day lily. Asiatics are beautiful and they do last. Also, Oriental lilies are used a lot for weddings. If I were you, I would go with the lilies because they are much larger and more dramatic, so you only need a couple of them mixed in with other greenery, whereas the roses, you would need more of to fill out the bouquet.
