Whats up with the weather in Barcelona?
People living in Barcelona and Catalunya are overjoyed about all this rain – since it hasn’t rained in almost a year and they’re now making plans to SHIP water (by ship!) and pipe water from other Spanish regions to help ease the worst drought and water shorter Barcelona has (nearly) ever experienced. Rain certainly puts a damper on tourism but it’s definitely a good thing. Because of the drought, water rates have raised and now bars and restaurants in Barcelona are charging for water – from the tap. Imagine that! Check http://www.Weather.com for a 10-day weather forecast. Wow, I just checked and they predict rain EVERYDAY for the next 9 days until Monday, May 19th when it’ll be partly cloudy. And cool too, temperatures in the 60sºF or mid-to-upper teens degrees Celsius. Regardless, I’m sure you’ll have a great time in Barcelona – but take an umbrella (or just buy one there) and rain jacket.
