Whats with the art style suddenly changing partway through the comic?
My art style changed. I decided I wanted the characters to look more like the animals they’re supposed to be, and not like humans with furry faces. Outside of Divided Sky I had been experimenting with my art style and the more I tried more “western” styles, as opposed to anime styles, the more I liked them better and soon it became more natural to draw that way. I put off changing the style of Divided Sky for a very long time, until it occurred to me that I just didn’t ENJOY drawing in an anime style anymore. So I quit. I know the change was very sudden and upset some of my readers, but it was a decision I made based on the grounds that this is my personal project and I don’t charge my readers for it, so ultimately, whether or not I enjoyed doing it was most important.
