Whats wrong with my citroen saxo?

On nearly every other car, it would be the fanbelt that would cause this problem but Citroen have a strange way of designing things. (Not always bad, they try some interesting things whilst everyone else just keeps making cars the same way as they’ve done it for decades. Some things work well, some don’t). If your car is blowing fuses and as a result develops this problem then it’s definately related to that. The garage that looked at your car obviously worked this out, this is why they would have left the fuse out. Fuses do not blow without reason, they are a safety device. You need to get your fault fixed. Fuses blow because too much current is being drawn through them, it’s their job to be the weak link. If you keep replacing the fuse, or worse decide to put bigger fuses in until it doesn’t blow any more then you run the risk of either damaging something else, or worse (and quite possible), setting fire to your car. The main agent should be able to tell if your ignition switch does
