When are the different whale watching migration seasons?
Unlike other whale watching locations, Costa Rica is a destination for whales. There are whales here seven months out of the year. The Humpback Whales from the Antarctic are the first to arrive in mid-July and their northern Arctic kin finally depart in mid to late-February. Throughout the year Pilot Whales, Beaked Whales, Brydes Whales, Orcas, Sei Whales and Pseudo Orcas are seen.
