When are the FINAL deadlines for GCSE English (AQA) courseworks?
The board sets deadlines by which the work has to get to the board, fully marked by the teachers. the teachers, especially if there are several for the same subject, have to internally moderate the work – get together after the work is marked and before it is sent to the board – so te same standard has been used for everyone. marking and internally moderating takes time so teh school worksout what date your work has to be in for them to be able to do everything else in good time. Some students think they can hand in work later than the school’s deadline because the AQA deadline is later. If they do so, then the teacher has less time to mark their work. Often, the longer there is to mark the work the more likely the teacher is to see every word or phrase worth some marks. If a teacher has a late piece of work that they mark leniently because they are short of time, and if that is one chosen by the board to be marked, then there is a risk that the board will reduce ALL marks for that sch
