When are the peak holiday times in France?

0

School holidays are July & August. Families often go on holiday for a whole month, either all July or all August. There’s a holiday on 15 August – as it’s a Wednesday, there’s less chance of people taking an extra day (eg, holiday on Thurs, so also taking Friday gives a long weekend). Futuroscope is brilliant. Arrive early and plan well, using the programme, which will give times of showings at the different pavilions. Pick up headsets for English translation, as required. Allow time to walk between pavilions and join those waiting for next showing – you usually cannot enter once a film has started. Have an alternative show planned (time & location), in case you cannot get into your first choice. Dynamic rides (where your seat moves corresponding to the film – eg a runaway train) are great, as are 3-D films.
