There are several species but most bloom in early summer. I have one variety called 'August Beauty' that has a heavy bloom of medium sized flowers in June and then a repeat of larger flowers in late Aug-early Sept. The humid night air in August carries that heddy frangrance at least a hundred yards. I live in coastal Virginia and I am sure you will have a different bloom time than I do. My plants are situated so that they get full sun until about mid-day and then go into a dappled shade. As far as Miracid, That is an old name. It is a Miracle Grow product that now goes simply as Miracle Grow for Acid Loving Plants. I think the box has pink or purple trim. It is a good product and will help keep your Gardenia's leaves dark green and glossy.  more
