When do natural gas and propane retail dealers need to remit carbon tax to the ministry?

0

If you are a natural gas or propane retail dealer, you are required to remit carbon tax to the ministry on the 15th day of the month following the reporting period in which you sell the fuel to an end purchaser (consumer). Reporting periods are monthly, quarterly or annually, and are established by the ministry when you are registered as a natural gas or propane retail dealer. Your reporting period will be based on the annual amount of carbon tax you are required to remit. For more information, please see the Notice to Natural Gas and Propane Sellers – Carbon Tax on our Carbon Tax website or contact the ministry.
